Restore your confidence
with Dental Implants

A missing tooth, or teeth, can greatly affect your ability to live the life you want. Luckily, dental implants can help restore your confidence by replacing the gap with what looks and acts like a strong, healthy and natural tooth.

By training our providers with the most advanced dental implant technology available, you will now be able to eat all your favorite foods, laugh, smile, kiss and enjoy life as you once did with a safe and predictable procedure.

What is a dental implant:

The dental implants used at Madison No Fear Dentistry consist of a screw-like titanium post that is biocompatible and bonds with your jawbone to provide the strongest, longest lasting and best looking replacement for a missing tooth or teeth. By bonding the post into the bone, we are able to provide patients with aesthetics that are nearly identical to the natural tooth and a lifetime of reliable functionality.

Why's it important for an implant to be bonded to the bone:

Inside your jaw there's a type of bone called alveolar bone that does nothing but support the tooth. Once the tooth is lost or extracted, the alveolar bone is no longer needed and begins breaking down and altering the aesthetics of your smile. To prevent that from happening, one of two things has to occur; placement of an immediate implant if possible, or place a cadaver bone graft to fill the empty socket and keep the natural bone from deteriorating until the implant can be placed. If none of those are done within 6-weeks of  the extraction your smile may not ever be the same again as the bone will become approximately 60% smaller.

Are dental implants permanent? If so, how long does a dental implant last:

Dental implants are a permanent solution that provides the strongest, longest lasting and best looking replacement for a missing tooth or teeth. Studies have shown that a dental implant can last upwards of 25 years if properly maintained. However, the implant itself can last throughout your life as it is made out of titanium and bonded to the bone. It is the abutment and crown that are susceptible to deterioration and damages over time which is why it's good to always maintain your oral health after receiving an implant.

Will other people notice I have a dental implant when I smile:

By placing a custom fitted crown that looks nearly identical to a natural tooth, we can only think of one reason why anyone would know you would have an implant. That reason being if any of those around you were previously aware of a missing tooth you had and now see your natural smile and restored confidence.

Are there any limitations by having dental implant:

With an implant crown the roots of the tooth are essentially replaced so biting, chewing, grinding and smiling all feel 100% natural. There are no limitations to what you can or can't do with an implant.

How do I maintain my dental implant:

To help your implant last as long as possible it's important to maintain your dental implant. Luckily, an implant is as easy to maintain as your natural teeth. All you need to do is brush twice a day, floss as normal, and receive routine dental care to ensure your implant crown stays in tip-top shape.

Madison No Fear Dentistry has dramatically changed my life in ways I could have never imagined possible. Words can't even begin to describe the confidence they have given me in my smile. From the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave you are made comfortable and the staff never fails to give you a good laugh. 2 years ago I made one of the best decisions I could have ever made , and that was switching to Madison No Fear Dentistry.
